Dear Reader,

Every day the media bombards us with stories of senseless tragedies, innocent lives lost as a result of the actions of drunk drivers or violent criminals.

I look at my family and wonder what I would do if they were ever the victims of such crimes.

Like Jake Weston, I know I would struggle to make sense of something that would make no sense. And I, too, would find it incredibly hard to forgive.

But yet I know I daily sin and God freely gives me his grace. How could I do any less?

I pray that when you and I are faced with difficult situations, we will draw on God’s strength to sustain us and remember His mercy.
