Chapter One
Arithmetic and Algebra
Of
the 32 scored Mathematics questions, 23 (72%) will be in the sub-content area
of Number and algebra. With these questions, the TEAS tests your ability to use
arithmetic and algebra to solve questions presented with numbers, variables,
and words. Some questions will concern percentages, proportions, and rates. In
addition, you’ll solve some questions more easily by using estimation and
rounding than by calculating an exact value.
