Practice Speech: Interacting with Visuals

Level: All levels, all speakers

Time Limit: Two minutes

Target Audience

Option one: You are asked to present a new procedure to your peers in your office. Legislative compliance requires that the protocol is followed. Be sure your peers can correctly follow the procedure after hearing your presentation. Use a procedure that fulfills a legislative requirement so you can practice citing.

Option two: You are asked to present a research article about public speaking to a group you joined to improve your ability to speak in public. Identify an article and present an overview to the group. Be sure that in your citation you qualify why it is credible information that we should follow.

Instructions

1. Create a content slide that follows the rules for making your visuals work. You may have a question slide following the content slide.

2. Explain how you intend to implement the C2 ARES Concept using the rubric and reference slide. No more than three total slides: 1. Content Slide, 2. Question Slide, 3. Reference Slide.
