ALLISON PATAKI is the author of the bestselling historical novels Sisi, The Traitor’s Wife, and The Accidental Empress, as well as the forthcoming children’s books Nelly Takes New York and Poppy Takes Paris, which she co-authored with her friend Marya Myers. She is also the co-author, with her brother Owen, of the historical novel Where the Light Falls. Her books have been translated into more than a dozen languages and her work has been featured in news outlets including The New York Times, ABCNews.com, USA Today, Fox News, and The Huffington Post. Pataki and her husband, David, are passionate about raising awareness of the difficulties of life after a stroke or traumatic brain injury. The daughter of former New York State governor George E.
