18. Precious Heart with Lamb Shanks
Davy Jones's heart was locked inside a chest. Yes, can you believe this? In the part, the Dead Man’s Chest, Davy Jones was able to lock his heart in the chest and hide the key. Anybody who got access to the key would be able to rule Davy Jones. These lamb shanks here are also like a piece of heart. Once you try this recipe, your heart and taste buds will be forever locked to the dish.
Ingredients

5 lamb shanks

1 chopped onion

Salt to taste

1 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 can beef broth

5 garlic cloves

1 bottle red wine

2 chopped carrots

1 can tomatoes with juice

1 can chicken broth

3 tablespoons chopped rosemary

3 teaspoons chopped thyme

Instructions
1. First, season the lamb shanks with salt and pepper and cook it on the skillet from both sides for 7 to 8 minutes.
2. Second, in a pan, heat some oil and cook the onion, carrots, and garlic for a few minutes. Add in the tomatoes, beef broth, chicken broth, rosemary, and thyme and let it cook for few minutes.
3. Add in the wine, let it simmer for a few minutes before adding the cooked lamb shanks.
4. Next, cover the pot and let it cook for 2 hours at low flame.
5. Remove the lamb shanks and place them on the serving plate.
6. After removing the lamb, cook the broth for 15 more minutes or till it's thick.
7. Pour the broth over the lamb and serve it hot.
