Best Ever Grilled Cheese

Skill Level: Easy Peasy

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS:

2 slices of your bread of choice (Sourdough works great)

Softened butter

Cheeses of choice (American melts the best; other good melting cheeses are Manchego, cheddar, gruyere, my favorite)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Use heavy bottomed pan or iron skillet over medium heat.

Don’t get impatient and turn up the heat or your bread will burn before your cheese melts.

Butter one side of bread all the way to the edges and place in warm skillet.

Place your cheese(s) on the bread and place the second buttered slice on top.

Try not to press down with spatula. Just let it brown and melt (2-3 minutes)

When bottom is brown, flip as carefully as possible to brown other side (2-3 minutes)

Transfer to plate, cut in half and enjoy the gooey goodness. This is Glory’s (and my) favorite comfort food.
