Using yarn A, start with a magic ring.

Round 1 (RS): ch 5 (counts as 1 dc, ch 2), [4 dc, ch 2 into ring] three times, 3 dc into ring, sl st in third ch of beginning ch 5 (16 sts).

Fasten off yarn A.

Round 2 (RS): using yarn B, in any 2-ch sp, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc throughout), [1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in same sp; using yarn C, 1 dc in each of next 4 sts; [using yarn B, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in 2-ch sp; using yarn C, 1 dc in each of next 4 sts] three times; using yarn B, sl st in third ch of beginning ch 3 (32 sts).

Do not fasten off.

Round 3 (RS): using yarn B, sl st in next st, sl st in next 2-ch sp, ch 3, [1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in same sp; [using yarn B, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts; using yarn C, 1 dc in each of next 4 sts; using yarn B, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in 2-ch sp] four times, omit [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] on last rep, sl st in third ch of beginning ch 3 (48 sts).
