Finding the path is only half the battle;

Staying the course requires strength.

Yet strength is rarely found,

and when found, even more rarely kept.

The boy had come far, but he still had much to overcome.

There was a chance for a good end to his story,

but chances are small and disappear quickly.

I sighed and I waited.
