As I stated in the beginning. I grew up in Wallowa County and have always been amazed by its beauty, history, and ruralness. Many say Alaska is the last frontier but there are so many communities in the western states that are nearly as rural as Alaska. After doing a ride-along with a Fish and Wildlife State Trooper in Wallowa County, I knew this was where I had to set this new series.

About the Author
Paty Jager is an award-winning author of 37 novels, 10 novellas, and numerous anthologies of murder mystery and western romance. All her work has Western or Native American elements in them along with hints of humor and engaging characters. Paty and her husband raise alfalfa hay in rural eastern Oregon.
