POUNDING . . . DOWN THE STAIRS. Giovanna snapped out of her daze. She should have turned out the lights. Stupid. But then she couldn’t have used the camera —and capturing a clear recording of this was critical.

Giovanna dropped the chalk and grabbed the guns. Even at this moment she couldn’t bring herself to actually point either gun at herself —or touch the triggers. And her plan was to use both —which was total overkill. All it would take is one bullet, right? But if she could somehow squeeze both triggers at the same instant —she’d make doubly sure.
