BONUS SCENE: SOFIA

Everyone stood and clapped hands as the happy couple kissed and walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful thing to see Cassidy and Hugo married and in love after denying their feelings for so long. Reminded me a little of myself and Joaquin in the early beginnings and how I’d tried to block out what became a great blessing in my life. The church was full of friends and family on both sides, along with Alessandra, Gael, and the De Luca Cartel. Cassidy wanted to continue managing my career, but I told her it was on hold until she got back from her honeymoon and settled in as a wife. I mean we both found out we were pregnant at the same time, so it was nice to take a break and enjoy life without the headaches of trying to get the latest role or finish an album. I waved at Alessandra as she held her little boy in her arms. He looked exactly like Gael. His long, auburn hair, icy blue eyes, and chubby cheeks made him look like a doll. I was happy they’d stuck it out and became a family even throughout the hardships we’d endured over the past year. I gripped JJ’s hand, and Joaquin carried Jianna’s little feisty butt while I rubbed my small belly in my maid of honor dress.

“Mommy, can we have cake now?” JJ looked up at me, and I smiled. My son was four now and reminded me of his father every day with his dark, bushy brows and how he demanded attention from all the ladies, especially me.

“Not right now, JJ. We have to take pictures and then go to the reception.”

“I want cake now,” he fussed, crossing his arms and stomping his feet.

“You see your son.” I pointed down at JJ, and Joaquin smirked.

“He’s fine.”

“No, he’s spoiled, and it’s your fault.”

“That reminds of you when I’m devouring you at night,” Joaquin whispered in my ear, and I blushed, fanning myself. He put a hand on my lower back and tapped me on my butt.

“I can’t believe Hugo is married, and Alessandra and Gael are parents.”

“My parents can’t either.”

“Your father has come around, though.”

“Thank Alba for that.”

Cassidy and Hugo finished with photos, and the planner directed us toward the limos outside. Joaquin gripped my hand and walked down the stairs with JJ next to him and our parents behind us. Joaquin wanted to rent out Antonio’s, but I told him it was too small for the amount of people who’d RSVP’d. We’d rented the Waldorf for two hundred and fifty people, but what made it even more crazy was the amount of cartel families who showed up from De Lucas to Carringtons. It was a who’s who of cartel life. The driver shut our limo door, and I helped fasten the kids' seatbelts as we followed Cassidy and Hugo to the reception. Joaquin gripped my hand, moved toward my belly, and rubbed the top before leaning over to kiss me on the lips.

“This is our last one.” I pointed at my stomach.

He glared, and I chuckled.

“Mommy, I want a brother,” JJ said.

“Well, you’ll be happy to know that soon I will find out.”

I was only two and a half months along and wanted to keep it a surprise at first, but Joaquin hated surprises, so we decided to find out. While in the States, we decided that living back in Spain for some time would work out best until I was ready to get back into acting and singing. Living in his family’s home permanently was not an option, so he bought land and decided to build our own compound on twenty-thousand acres.

“We’re here!” JJ yelled excitedly.

“Wait, JJ.” I helped him unbuckle his seat. Our son was fast and loved to take off without us, no matter where we went. Joaquin grabbed my hand, helped me step out of the limo, and went to grab Jianna. I walked over to Cassidy talking with the girls and gave her and Hugo a hug.

“How does it feel?” I asked.

“Like I’m somebody’s wife.” Cassidy giggled and covered her mouth.

“You're a part of the club now,” Janice joked.

“As long as she doesn’t have to initiate like you two did.”

“That comes with the territory,” Janice replied and slid her shades down her nose.

“Thank you again, Sofia, for renting out this hotel,” Cassidy said.

“My pleasure. Well, Joaquin actually.”

“Hugo, let's go inside.” Cassidy grasped his hand.

“Only one left is Alessandra and Gael,” Janice blurted out.

“I think we’ll get an update from them soon.”
