I owe a major thank you to the team at 5 Prince Publishing. Not only for seeing the potential in this story, but for helping make it everything it can be.
Thank you to Bernadette, my best friend in this wild industry, for taking a chance on a thriller writer trying to navigate the marathon of writing a romance. I am forever indebted to you for bringing this book to life.
A special thank you to Cate Byers, my editor on this book. You pushed me so far out of my comfort zone as a writer, I'm not sure I can find my way back. Not only did you help strengthen this story to become something readers will enjoy, you provided me with a crash course of new tools and considerations to add to my arsenal for future books. Still not sure I can handle all the dialogue tags. Ha!
I wrote this book in "secret" hoping to give it to my wife as a gift for our 10-year wedding anniversary. While not too many people knew about it, I need to thank everyone who helped keep this secret. It was no easy feat, but one that was totally worth it! Note to self: don't ever attempt to write a secret book again!
This was a fictionalized retelling of my wife and I's love story. Most of the events are true, even if placed somewhere else in the timeline of what really happened. That said, my last thank you is for my wife, Natasha. Thank you for going on that trip to Vegas. I can't imagine how things would have turned out if you hadn't.
