Ruby Fruit Reviving Smoothie

Simple to make, this scrumptious smoothie, full of vitamin C, is guaranteed to get you off to a great start in the morning.

1 ruby red grapefruit, zest and a little pith removed, seeded and coarsely chopped

¼ cucumber, coarsely chopped

1 cup hulled strawberries

small handful of crushed ice, optional

1. Put the grapefruit and cucumber into a blender and process until smooth.

2. Add the strawberries and crushed ice, if using, and process until blended.

3. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
