All-Natural Dry Shampoo

1/2 cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch

10 drops essential oil of your choice

Dry shampoo, which is used to absorb excess oil on the scalp or add texture and body to hair, is an incredibly useful product. Unfortunately, using it frequently (which most dry shampoo lovers do) can get pretty pricey. You will not believe how easy, inexpensive and effective this DIY dry shampoo is.

In a small bowl, combine ingredients and stir together until the oil has completely dissipated. Use a funnel to transfer dry shampoo to a recycled old salt shaker. To use, sprinkle onto scalp and thoroughly scrub in using “shampooing” motions.

If you’re a brunette and have problems getting the dry shampoo to blend in with your scalp, try adjusting the powder levels to 1/4 cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch and 1/4 cup cocoa powder.
