After-Sun Hydrating Hair Treatment

1/4 cup fresh aloe vera gel

1 tablespoon sweet almond oil

1/4 cup coconut milk

20 drops lavender essential oil

Just like you’d care for your skin if you spent too much time in the sun, it’s important to take care of your hair if it’s undergone excessive sun exposure; UV rays can be very damaging to hair. Even if intense sun on your scalp doesn’t feel as painful as a sunburn on your skin does, sun exposure can be a big shock to your strands. This recipe replenishes the hair and soothes the scalp, keeping your hair strong and healthy.

Blend, mix or thoroughly stir ingredients together until smooth. After shampooing, apply treatment to scalp and hair and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, and follow with conditioner.
