Peppermint Lotion for Soothing Sore Muscles

2/3 cup beeswax

1/2 cup shea butter

1/2 cup unrefined virgin coconut oil

15 drops peppermint essential oil

10 drops eucalyptus essential oil

Besides not having aches in the first place, can you think of anything better for sore muscles than a gentle massage with cooling and soothing lotion? I don’t think so. This lotion hydrates the skin and relieves pain and discomfort.

Melt beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil on low heat in a double boiler. Remove from heat and stir in essential oils. Allow to cool in the fridge until solidified. Remove from fridge, and whip with a hand mixer until desired consistency is reached. To use, gently massage onto clean, dry skin. Store in a cool, dry place.
