1/4 cup 100 proof vodka
3 of your favorite essential oils
Store-bought perfumes are loaded with harmful chemicals, and when you buy a mass-produced scent, you run the risk of smelling like millions of other people. I love creating my own signature scent by custom-blending my own perfume. What’s great is that it takes only two ingredients and a little creativity. The only tricky part here is finding the best blend of essential oils. Personally, I love floral blends, so I find myself using a lot of lavender, rose, and ylang ylang essential oil with a deeper base note such as patchouli or sandalwood. This is a great recipe to use when you have some friends over (or during a bridal or baby shower) and want to partake in a fun group activity.
In a small glass container or spray bottle, combine vodka and 20 or so drops of each essential oil. Again, it’s going to take some trial and error finding the best blends and ratios of essential oils, but that’s the fun in creating your own scent!
