Fenway Stevenson: A former nurse practitioner with a master’s degree in forensics, she moved to Estancia in April after her mother lost her battle with cancer. Fenway has a rocky relationship with her father. First appointed to fill out the coroner’s term, she was re-elected four months ago.

Nathaniel Ferris: The richest, most powerful man in the county, the oil magnate founded and owned Ferris Energy. Several months ago, he took a bullet for Fenway, was in a coma for two months, and was forced to sell his company.

Craig McVie: The former sheriff of Dominguez County, he lost the mayoral race in November. Recently divorced from Amy, he’s now a private investigator. He and Fenway officially started dating after the election.

Piper Patten: Formerly in the county’s IT department, this willowy redhead is a whiz at forensic accounting and data gathering. She likes the command line interface almost as much as she likes her boyfriend, Migs. She now works for McVie.

Sergeant Desirée “Dez” Roubideaux: A detective in the coroner’s office, Dez has worked for the county for 25 years. She’s a dedicated, determined investigator despite her wisecracks.

Melissa de la Garza: A CSI tech from neighboring San Miguelito County, de la Garza’s team is a shared forensic resource with Dominguez County.

Sarah Summerfield: The newly hired coroner’s assistant.

Deputy Celeste Salvador: A sheriff’s deputy and friend of Fenway’s.

Deputy Donald Huke: A rookie sheriff’s deputy and Melissa’s boyfriend.

Ezekiel Washington: A security specialist at the hotel where the Neons are staying.

Paul “Flash” Levinson: The head coach of the Las Vegas Neons, his inappropriate behavior is catching up with him.

Sandra Christchurch: The owner of the Las Vegas Neons who has made her fortune in the hospitality business.

Rocky Portello and Lorraine Sunday: The two assistant coaches of the Las Vegas Neons, who have both spent over a decade of their careers coaching women’s soccer.

Annabel Shedd: She kicked the winning goal in the latest World Cup championship match. Now nearing retirement, she mentors younger players.

Maggie Erskine: The new kid on the block who might be the greatest goalkeeper to ever play the game. The Neons are betting on her to be a superstar.

Mathilda Montague: Annabel’s wife is the CEO of a Las Vegas-based gaming empire that happens to be the Neons’ top sponsor—and she also happens to be McVie’s top client.
