Dear Reader,
Christmas is a time of joy and light and warmth and hope. But it can also be a difficult time if you’ve lost someone over the holiday season. I still can’t listen to “Please Come Home for Christmas,” which was the first song on the radio after my mom died.
So we have Rachel, who loves Christmas, starting her new job as a consultant in the emergency department, and Tim, her boss, who finds Christmas difficult since losing his wife, who had loved Christmas so much.
Rachel, postdivorce, isn’t looking for a relationship, but she wants to help her boss remember the good bits of Christmas. Except things don’t quite go to plan, because in the process of saving Christmas for Tim, she manages to fall in love with him—and Tim falls in love with her.
Tim doesn’t think it can work between them—he’s let his late wife and his children down too often—but then an unexpected Christmas delivery changes everything...
I hope you enjoy Rachel and Tim’s journey.
With love,
Kate Hardy
