Did you know that October is National Pizza Month? Everyone should be able to enjoy this tasty treat. Yet some cannot. Since shut-in folks are unable to go anywhere, having a pre-paid pizza delivered to their door would be a special treat. Call someone your family knows who can’t go out for pizza themselves. Be sure to find out their favorite kind (first find out about any food allergies), and have it delivered to their house.
Or, to make the pizza delivery extra-special, have a family night by making a homemade pizza and hand-delivering it. You can opt to make a homemade crust or buy an already-prepared one. Top the pizza with sauce, cheese, and the recipient’s favorite toppings. For a single recipient, smaller-sized pizzas work well.
Up for Discussion
Who did your family send a pizza to? Why? How can something as ordinary as a pizza make a difference in someone’s life?
Do some research to determine what kind of pizza is the most popular. Were you surprised at the findings? How could the gift of a pizza ease the worry of someone who is concerned about where his or her next meal will come from?
Read Gal. 6:9. Why should we continue doing kind things for others? Why should acts of thoughtfulness be done more than just once?
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
