FIGS in a Blanket

Serves 6

The combination of sweet fresh figs and salty prosciutto is hard to resist. Though this appetizer takes very little preparation time, our guests are always impressed.

12 thin slices prosciutto (about 4 ounces), cut lengthwise into 1-inch strips

12 large ripe figs, halved lengthwise

Olive oil

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Wrap a strip of prosciutto around the widest part of each fig half, with the ends overlapping.

Arrange the figs, cut-side up, on the lined baking sheet. Brush the figs with olive oil.

Roast until the figs are warm and the prosciutto is crisp, about 10 minutes.
