This recipe is a new twist on the popular Italian pastry, cannoli, which means little tubes. For this dessert, the creamy filling is used as a dip. This dessert is so flavorful, a little goes a long way!
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1½ cup confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Combine the ricotta cheese and cream cheese in a food processor.
Gradually add the sugar, then the vanilla, and mix until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
Fold the chocolate chips into the cheese mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.
Serve the cannoli dip in a bowl on a platter surrounded by broken cannoli shells, waffle cones, or pizzelles.
