WRITING PROMPTS

1. Write a letter from Austin to a friend back home in Virginia. Write about Austin’s experiences at the Hammerside track.
2. Austin loves to race go-karts. Write an essay from Austin’s point of view that explains why he enjoys karting. Then write a paragraph from your point of view. Do you think you’d like to race go-karts? Why or why not?
3. Imagine that Austin is telling younger drivers about racing. What might Austin tell them? Write a few paragraphs that tell Austin’s karting instructions and advice.
