HEART FELT CARD

Show your love on Valentine’s Day or a special anniversary with not one but three felt hearts beaded and embellished to make an extra special card.

Time: 1 hour

You Will Need

White single-fold card size DL

Bright pink and pale pink felt

Pastel seed beads

Gold metallic thread

Fabric glue

1. Cut three pale pink felt hearts and two bright pink felt squares.

2. Stitch the seed beads onto the felt shapes with the gold metallic thread: use a small running stitch to sew beads around the outside of one of the hearts; work long stitches randomly over the other two hearts threading a bead onto each stitch; sew a bead to each corner of the squares with a diagonal stitch.

3. Use the heart template to draw a heart in the centre of the front of the single-fold card. Open the card and place wrong side down on a cutting mat. Cut out the marked heart using a scalpel.

4. Use fabric glue to stick the two matching embellished hearts onto the bright pink felt squares and stick onto the front of the card above and below the cut out heart.

5. Now stick the final felt heart on the inside of the card, carefully lining it up with the cut out heart on the front of the card.
