Halloween Card

Cross stitch this Halloween design for a spooky party invite. The black and orange really stand out well on the green greeting card base.

You Will Need

Black 14-count aida

Orange, rust, white, purple, lilac, yellow and black stranded cotton (floss): DMC colours 402, 3776, blanc, 155, 341, 725 and 310

Green single-fold card size A6

1. Cross stitch the design onto aida with stranded cotton following the chart at www.stitchcraftcreate.co.uk/patterns. Use two strands of stranded cotton throughout. Trim your embroidery as marked on the chart.

2. Fray back one row of aida all the way around the finished stitched piece to give a soft edge.

3. Place strips of double-sided tape on the back of your embroidery and attach it to the front of the single-fold card making sure it is central. Stick down firmly.
