Snowflake Gift Boxes

BY MARION ELLIOT

These little gift boxes make the perfect containers for small, light gifts that can be hung on the tree. Even unfilled they make great tree decorations.

Time: 30 minutes

Difficulty: Easy peasy

You Will Need

Thick patterned paper

Metallic-gold pearl card size A4 (US letter)

Silk ribbons

1. Trace and transfer the box template to the back of a sheet of gold card. Cut out.

2. Use a metal ruler and the points of a pair of scissors to score along the fold lines (marked with a dashed line). Fold along the scored lines. Spread glue along the tabs and assemble the box making sure the edges are neatly aligned.

3. Trace and transfer the snowflake template to the back of a sheet of patterned paper and cut out and attach to the front of the box. (For the variation, repeat steps 1 and 2 but cut the box from patterned paper and the snowflake from gold card.)

4. Tie a piece of ribbon around each box. Tie the ribbon into a bow. Trim one end of the ribbon short, leaving the other one long, so you can hang the box from the tree.
