“I might have something.”
Leroux glanced up from his workstation to see Tong gesture toward the displays. “What am I looking at?” Two images were displayed, both remarkably similar, though clearly different.
“On the left is the bunker area today, and on the right, is an image from when it was decommissioned and put up for sale.”
Leroux searched for any differences that might mean something. He gave up. “And?”
Tong tapped her keyboard and the same area in both images, to the east of the main structure, zoomed in. “Look at the ground here. It’s different.”
Leroux stood and stepped toward the display, his head bobbing slightly. “Yeah. Something’s been done there. Some digging, perhaps.”
Child spun in his chair. “Well, if I know my super-villain movies, don’t they always have an escape tunnel?”
Leroux nodded. “Makes sense. It’s far enough away that if you were to come out there, you’re likely to come out behind anyone surrounding the bunker. Kane’s best bet is gaining access covertly. This might just be their ticket in.”
Tong grunted. “It better be. There’s no way they’re getting in any other way, not with the equipment we sent them.”
Leroux agreed. “Send it to Kane. We’ll let him make the call.”
