Makes 8 servings
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
2 T. butter
2/3 c. onion, chopped
2 10-3/4 oz. cans tomato soup
3-oz. pkg. cream cheese, cubed
2 T. sugar
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
2 c. wide egg noodles, cooked
1 c. corn flake cereal, crushed
1/2 c. butter, melted
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown beef and pork in butter. Add onion and cook until tender but not browned; drain. Stir in soup, cream cheese, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Place cooked noodles in a greased 11"x7" baking pan; pour meat mixture over noodles. Toss together cereal and melted butter; sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until heated through.
