Chapter 51

The day of the wedding was hectic with me getting my hair and makeup done and not getting enough sleep because of my bachelorette party. All the girls, Vicky and Dr. Richards were there, and yes it was in the Virgin Islands.

I had an island stripper, and it was off the chain. It distracted me from being nervous about my big day.

Then the day came all the attention and running around kept my anxiety down. And before I knew it I was standing in front of a full length mirror in my hotel room. My tracks were taken out and my hair was pressed not permed per my request. Yes, a bitch graduated cosmetology school and learned a lot. My graduation date was the next month.

Anyway, I had my hair pulled back into a bun which was thick and full. I had on a platinum diamond encrusted tiara which my vale clipped to. It wasn’t on yet, I was staring in the mirror at the dress. The dress Vera made was a simple strapless little thing and I was right, for the amount of money Spin paid for it, it was iced out. The diamonds were used as sequence for the dress making it shine and sparkle here and there. My entire breasts and chest were damn near covered in diamonds. I didn’t know if they were real, but I thought so. The shit was so fucking icy a bitch thought she was gonna catch pneumonia, shit my nipples were hard. Naw, but the dress was something out of a fairy tale. It was white too. I had no problem standing before the church and God as a virgin because technically I was. I had on glass heels which I did not know they really had and were very uncomfortable. Shit I don’t know how Cinderella did that shit, she must have had Dr. Scholl’s because the one’s Dr. Richard’s got me did wonders. I had to admit I looked like a princess.

The door opened, and Vick, Diamond, Dime and Ari walked in with Dr. Richards close behind. Ari or Brittany as I knew her was with D-loc. Why? I don’t wanna get into that, not only because I didn’t know but because it was pissing me off that I wasn’t told. The only reason I could come up with to explain B.I.T.C.H.’s presence and interest in Spin was revenge for T-money, and like T-money I could give a damn if they killed Spin, but I wanted answers first.

Vicky had on a dress which matched mine except it was not as big or long at the bottom. Her diamonds were regular plastic looking sequence and gave it a rainbow effect. Diamond, Ari and Dime had dresses with different light colors causing a rainbow affect amongst them. The dresses Vera designed for them totaled a hundred thousand dollars and were beautiful. And I had to admit Diamond was working it for being a, you know, man, but of course Ari looked the best.

“Oh my God, look at you,” Dr. Richards said eyes watering and pulling out her camera with a big smile on her face. She fanned her eyes and sashayed over to me in her oversized sun dress. She grabbed my veil off the side of the mirror and began putting it on me.

“Damn girl you look beautiful,” Vicky said and I nodded.

The butterflies were back. I knew I looked good thanks to B.I.T.C.H.

“Okay we’ll talk in the limo we gotta go,” Dr. Richards said grabbing my hand bag and pulling me out of the room.

I barely said a word during the ride to the beach. Dr. Richards though was talking a mile a minute. She told us about her wedding and how happy she was. If only she knew mine was all a lie, it was a sham wedding on my part. I slowly began wondering then hoping and then finally praying that Spin had nothing to do with my family’s murder. T-money killed my father and got what he deserved. But what if Spin was only guilty of killing T-money.

We were at the beach waiting in the limo. We’d had a few rehearsals, but the people at Angelo’s explained to me that there would be little differences. For one a live performance by someone yet to be determined. It was their wedding, I just happened to be in it.

We were waiting in the limo five minutes when the door opened, and I saw Dr. Richards’ husband in a tux. I was confused. I was in the limo with my bride’s maids since Dr. Richards went for her seat.

“Hey,” I smiled.

“Hi beautiful.”

“What’s up?” My voice felt so weak, it was a challenge to speak.

“We’re ready, and I’m going to be giving you away.”

I felt a catch in my chest. I couldn’t cry, well I could have, my makeup was waterproof, so I let one roll down as I looked at his smiling face. Vicky swiped at my eye yelling at me, but I ignored her. My heart stalled as I heard music begin playing.
