About the Author

Kelly Grey Carlisle’s essays have appeared in Ploughshares, Salon.com, The Rumpus, New England Review, The Sun, The Touchstone Anthology of Contemporary Creative Nonfiction, and others. She teaches writing at Trinity University and edits 1966: A Journal of Creative Nonfiction. She lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her family in a house with conventional plumbing, a backyard with a grill, one dog, and a basketball hoop.
