Greetings to Trouble fans, thank you for reading “Trouble in the Treehouse,” my ode to St. Patrick’s Day, Trouble the black cat detective, and Anna Maria Island. I chose St. Patrick’s Day for my holiday in this anthology because I’m Irish descent. But then everybody is Irish on St. Patty’s Day as the saying goes. Still, this celebration of my heritage has always resonated with me. Plus, this holiday is a dang fine time and lends itself to parades and parties.
Anna Maria is a real place for those who don’t know the West Coast of Florida. It’s a barrier island just offshore of Manatee County, the country where I grew up and where, after many decades away, I have returned to live. Tampa to the north and Sarasota to the south might get all the attention, but Manatee County is a lush, wonderful spot on the Gulf of Mexico.
Thank you for reading. And, if you want to really help the authors you like, please post reviews at Amazon and Goodreads. A review does not need to be long—it’s not a high school book report! Just say what you honestly thought. It helps authors a great deal.
