137. Grilled Rainbow Trout

  1. Prepare the brine and for this, take an enormous container, add all of its ingredients in it, stir until sugar has dissolved, then add trout and let soak for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  2. When ready to cook, switch on the Traeger grill, fill the grill hopper with oak flavored wood pellets, power the grill on by using the control panel, pick ‘smoke’ on the temperature dial, or set the temperature to 205 degrees F and let it preheat for a minimum of 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, remove trout from the brine and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. When the grill has preheated, open the lid, place trout on the grill grate, shut the grill, and smoke for 2 hours until thoroughly cooked and tender.
  5. When done, transfer trout to a dish and then serve.
