Angry Owl sat on his perch and watched the clouds roll in.
He had never seen so many dark clouds before.
‘This could be the start of the greatest storm ever,’ thought Angry Owl.
Not only was the sun hiding behind the clouds, but large drops of water began to fall from the sky.
He had never seen so much rain before. ‘This must be the greatest storm ever,’ thought Angry Owl.
Not only was it raining, but great gusts of wind were blowing everything about.
He had never felt such a strong wind before. ‘This must be the greatest storm ever,’ thought Angry Owl.
Not only was the wind howling, but loud rumbles of thunder were shaking the ground and bright electric bolts were flashing through the clouds.
He had never known so much thunder and lightning before. ‘This must be the greatest storm ever,’ thought Angry Owl.
Not only was there thunder and lightning, but millions of tiny frozen snowflakes began to fall.
He had never seen so much snow before. ‘This must be the greatest storm ever,’ thought Angry Owl.
Not only was it snowing heavily, but large balls of ice were crashing down too!
He had never seen such big hail stones before. ‘This has to be the greatest storm ever!’ thought Angry Owl.
Not only was it raining, snowing, and hailing, with howling wind and frightening thunder and lightning, but a tornado was building too!
The powerful swirling wind nearly knocked him right off his branch!
Now he knew for sure that this was definitely the greatest storm ever.
Luckily, it wasn’t long before the storm began to roll away … but the clouds had one more surprise for Angry Owl.
Beautiful colours began to shine through the clouds. He had never seen anything so beautiful.
‘This must be the greatest ending to the greatest storm ever,’ thought Angry Owl.
And so the next time the clouds began to gather and the rain threatened to fall, he wasn’t so angry, because he knew that the greatest storms can have the best endings.
