Death Angel: A being of light who assists the dying if they are having a labored or agonizing time. Death angels calm and comfort the person and encourage them to not be anxious about their approaching demise. Some theorists believe that Metatron is one of the most elevated angels of death. (Hopler, 2019.)

Death Clock: Clocks that suddenly stop for no apparent reason at the exact time when someone dies. Often, these clocks never work again.

Death Distress: Many people who work in the medical profession, especially those who deal with palliative care patients or the dying, have noticed that when a person passes over, they can judge what type of individual they had been in life. A patient who dies peacefully can look much younger and serene after the event, depicting an elevated soul who will go on to a higher level of consciousness. If a person is terrified to die, it could be that they have committed evil deeds against others in life, and they fear that they will be poorly judged when dead. Often, they have a look of terror on their faces, which represents their anxiety at having to leave the earth plane and go into the unknown.

Death Fetch: When someone is dying, they can astral travel and transport themselves to a loved one, even when they are a great distance away. The dying appears as an apparition to comfort their loved one as they are departing the earth.

Death Fragrance: When a person dies and wishes to be connected to or remembered by a loved one on the earth plane, they can create aromas that will remind the person of them. A departed mother or grandmother might drift their unique perfume into a room. If a man who smoked a pipe or a specific cigar has died, he might generate this smell to let his loved ones know that he is near. A departed firefighter might use brimstone, or a favorite floral perfume could appear from someone who liked to work in the garden. After a funeral, when the deceased has just been cremated or buried, an overwhelming and sometimes sickly flowery odor can linger in the air to let others know the deceased has transformed and gone to a different realm. Sometimes even weeks after the death of a person, their scent can hang around their home, appearing more pungent in rooms that they used.

Death Glow: A wispy, luminous, pale blue light that appears around the head of someone who is dying. Psychics and mediums more commonly see this, but ordinary folks and attending medical staff have also reported seeing this phenomenon. From the crown chakra, the soft blue light develops and ascends upward, as if taking the person’s soul with it.

Death Mist: A dark brown or black mist seen around a person at the point of death. In medieval times, if a dying person had a dark cloud clinging to their body, it was thought to be a bad omen. The Anglo-Saxons believed that when this occurred, something sinister was in store for the dying individual—that their soul would go to the lower astral vibrations to dwell with ghouls, devils, and demons.

Déjà vu: A French term meaning “already seen.” Having the feeling that one has been somewhere before without ever having visited the place beforehand or saying or listening to something that sounds familiar. One theory suggests that just before someone reincarnates, the entirety of their life to come is shown to them beforehand. Lessons the individual needs to learn during their forthcoming life are discussed and agreed to by the individual. These events are embedded in the soul. When the living person gets to that particular place in their itinerary, their memory rewinds to what they saw prior to reincarnating; this can indicate that they are exactly on track with the plan set ahead for them.

Demon: An invisible creature from an etheric world who could be a new or young soul in its development. These beings have little, if any, understanding of compassion, love, or kindness. Instead, they are ruled by heinous immoral thoughts that they strive to communicate with humankind. Demons are known for manipulating humans for their own nefarious reasons, often with a bribe. When many demons unite their demonic energy together, they can cause destruction in the world and the animal kingdom. It is purported that they gravitate to the negativity or evil within a human being.

Destiny: A preordained series of events that are spiritually planned for individuals by higher beings. In numerous religions, destiny is a given thing. One might say that everything happens for a reason or that it is someone’s fate to follow a particular path in life. Destiny is the intended future, and most religions and cultures believe this.

Devil: A fallen angel described in the bible with a male pronoun. A devil is purported to be a fierce, rebellious spirit who causes pandemonium and works in an earthbound state of evil consciousness to feed on human weaknesses. He is known in different religions as Old Nick, Lucifer, Satan, and the Prince of Darkness.

Devil

Devils Girdle: A magnetic belt that witches and warlocks of old would wear to help them in spell craft and magic. The devils girdle also allowed the witch to become invisible.

Dharma: The laws of principles. A Buddhist or Hindu concept that means upholding strong principles—such as one’s conduct to others—to abide by the spiritual laws set in place and to have a good and virtuous way of living. (Britannica, 2019.)

Dictionary Divination: Since the 1970s, there has been a trend in spiritual circles to use a sizeable hardcover dictionary for quick divination. Sitting quietly (and after a short meditation to a higher being or guide), one can ask for assistance in getting a question answered. The book is held in the closed position before the inquirer asks a direct question. The person then scrolls through the pages with their thumb until they feel the need to stop. The book is then opened. Without looking, the individual points to a word. Often, the words under the finger will give the answer to what is being sought, but one can look at the wording just above or below where the finger rests if no obvious answer is in sight.

Example question: “Where are my house keys?”

Answer: The word bedroom or a sentence such as, “Left in a different place.” Some days it will work correctly, but other days no information will be provided.

Direct Voice: A voice that can be heard in haunted places or that comes as a message to psychic people during a séance. Psychics and mediums today have reported hearing tinny, constructed voices when in a trance or when they are waking from dream sleep. Some voices are said to sound like supernatural voice boxes with messages of future events being transmitted to the receiver. The noises are more commonly heard during the kundalini experience, with some speculating that they are the voices of spirits. Alien theorists believe direct voices could be a form of extraterrestrial communication. Sometimes a person’s name is shouted out loud by a spiritual voice to attract their attention or give the warning to take care and investigate a problem area.

Disembodied Voice: Sometimes referred to as “phantom voice.” An otherworldly voice that speaks. It can say a person’s name or a sentence just as someone is dropping off to sleep or upon awakening. This is often incorrectly linked to schizophrenia. Mediums or clairvoyants usually experience this, and some report the voice as having harsh, tinny tones as if someone were speaking to them down a long tube. (Crawford, 2019.)

Disturbed Dreams: Nearly everyone has experienced bad dreams and, worse, nightmares. When one is asleep, the soul can leave the body and go astral traveling to wherever it chooses. It is said there are many realms or “layers” to visit, and it’s best to make sure to stay away from the lower astral vibrations where there are demonic or offensive and troublesome spirits. If the dreamer engages with these lower entities, then nightmarish dreams can transpire. Some mediums believe that demons can attach themselves to the person and stay with them upon waking. If a person wishes to astral travel, it would be best to ask for protection from a guide or guardian angel beforehand. (Pavlina, 2013.)

Diva: As well as being an artist or performer who has a massive ego or an inflated opinion of their importance, diva is the Italian word for goddess or female deity. (Bletzer, 1986.)

Divination: Seeing into the future or foretelling future events, often with the use of tools. There are many implements that psychics use for divination: tarot, pendulums, rune stones, crystal balls, palmistry, oracle cards, bone readings, and so on. The items are used to give focus to spiritual matters and to help the right-hand side of the brain connect to a higher consciousness to see into the future. (Paranormal Encyclopedia, 2019.)

Doppelganger: An exact look-alike. An unrelated person whose image is identical to another’s. It is purported that each individual on the planet has their own doppelganger. Many regard this phenomenon as being unlucky, and some cultures believe that someone’s replica could be an evil twin. (Hrala, 2016.)

Dowsing and Dowsing Rods: Two thin poles (usually made from copper or birch twigs) are held in the hands to detect minerals that are underground or to locate water sources. When the rods cross over each other or tip downward, this can indicate where to look. Others will dowse with pendulums made of oak wood, buttons on a string, or crystals on a silver chain. A well-known, accurate British technique is to thread a needle with cotton and hover it over the stomach of a pregnant woman. Whichever way it swings will indicate whether the child is a boy or a girl. (Brown, 2010.)

Dragon: A dragon is a mythical four-legged scaled creature that breathes out plumes of fire. There are many descriptions of dragons throughout folklore around the world, each culture having different portrayals.

Dream Catcher: The North American dream catcher began with the Ojibwe culture and is a spiderweblike, feathered charm. These are usually constructed by females of the tribe to protect young infants and children from nightmares. The catchers were built of two willow hoops and cords made of sinew, leather, and plant stems. A delicate spiderweb is woven in the circles, and small crystals, stones, and feathers are added for decoration. When finished, dream catchers are hung over the cribs or beds of the infants to keep them safe from negative spirits in dream sleep. (Shabi, 2016.)

Dream Divination: Dreams have been recorded and passed down since the beginning of time. Some were written about in the Christian bible, and the dreams were said to come true, especially concerning flood, famine, and pestilence. In some counties in England, the ancients would study dream meanings in great detail. If, for instance, a person wakes with a song in their head, it would be wise to write down the verses, because there could be a secret message encoded within the words. Sometimes pregnant mothers are told in dream sleep of the sex and name of their unborn infant. Warnings of accident and drama are also given to the sleeping person; on waking, they might think the warning was just a terrible nightmare. Quite commonly, a person might dream of someone they haven’t seen for a long time, and the very next day, they could bump into them or receive a phone call from them. Dream filtering is an essential way to study and filter the events that have happened in a person’s day. Dream sleep usually occurs during the REM, or rapid eye movement, stage or when the mind is between the alpha and beta levels of consciousness. Many psychics are given correct information for the future in dream sleep; one such psychic was Edgar Casey, known as “the sleeping prophet.” The most accurate predictions are said to be given between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. in the morning when the mind can be in a trancelike state. Many people record their dreams for future reference, especially witches, who will mark them in their book of shadows. (Weis, 2017.)

Dreams of Falling: To dream of falling in sleep is quite a common occurrence, but many people believe that it is a prelude to astral flight. This happens when the soul leaves the sleeping body and is free to go where it chooses. One theory is that when a person is preparing for astral projection, the soul vacates the body in such a way that rather than floating toward the ceiling, the soul falls through the back of the body before ascending upward. Dream theorists contradict this and say that the falling sensation means the person has fallen down in their commitment to their life’s lessons. Scientists, however, claim it is a common occurrence and linked with the cycles of the brain. (Crystalinks, 2019.)

Druid: One of the initial references to Druidism was first written by Julius Caesar between 59 to 51 BCE. Many Druids were psychics, priests, astrologers, and teachers, and with them, they brought advanced mystical teachings. Druidry shares similarities with the Shamanic religion, focusing on herbal medicine and uniting people with their gods. Druids also believed that trees were sacred. In today’s society, there are still groups of Druids, mainly in Celtic areas such as Normandy, France, and Great Britain. Many will attend the solstice ceremonies at Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England. (Johnson, 2019.)

Dryad

Dryad: A wood nymph or nature spirit who resides in the base of ancient trees in densely planted areas such as forests and woodlands. Those who possess psychic abilities have reported seeing these long, twiggy figures. A tree with old lumbering roots that rest above the ground is surely occupied by a dryad. If a tree is felled and killed, then so the dryad dies. (Geller, 2017.)

Dulce Base: Since the early 1980s, there has been a conspiracy theory that below the Archuleta Mesa near the town of Dulce, New Mexico, there exists a facility jointly operated by human scientists and extraterrestrials where experiments are performed on abducted humans. The aim is to create alien-human hybrids. The base is alleged to go seven stories below ground.

This theory was heightened in 1993, when Phil Schneider, a US government geologist, went public on events that took place in 1979 when he was part of a team, supervised by US Security Service members, drilling under the Archuleta Mesa. He alleged that the drill broke through into level seven of the base, where he saw aliens doing surgical operations on humans. The Security Service started firing on the aliens, who retaliated with laserlike beams. Phil Schneider was hit in the chest and lost several fingers from his left hand.

Three years after going public, Phil Schneider was found dead in suspicious circumstances. The police and FBI never completed their investigations into his death, but all his notes for a book and other documents mysteriously went missing. This further fueled speculation of another government cover-up. (Alien UFO Sighting, 2019.)
