ALAN L. DETRICK

Ruth Rogers Clausen, a horticulturist trained in England, has been living and working in United States for many years. Over her long career she has taught and lectured widely. Former horticulture editor for Country Living Gardener, she has written several books, including Perennials for American Gardens, co-authored with the late Nicolas H. Ekstrom. Others include Dreamscaping (Hearst) and 50 Beautiful Deer-Resistant Plants (Timber Press).

SUZANNE O’CONNELL

Thomas Christopher, a graduate of the New York Botanical Garden School of Professional Horticulture, has worked for almost forty years creating gardens for clients. He is a former columnist for Horticulture, House & Garden, and Country Living Gardener, and has been a contributor to The New York Times and the Journal of The Royal Horticultural Society; this is his twelfth book.

ALAN L. AND LINDA DETRICK

Alan L. and Linda Detrick are professional photographers whose horticulture and nature images appear in media worldwide. They have lectured and conducted photography workshops at Maine Media Workshops, the New York Botanical Garden, and Chanticleer Garden, as well as for the American Horticultural Society, the Garden Club of America, and the Garden Writers Association, where they are fellows and were inducted into the GWA Hall of Fame in 2010. Alan is the author and photographer of Macro Photography for Gardeners and Nature Lovers, and the sole photographer for 50 Beautiful Deer-Resistant Plants, by Ruth Rogers Clausen. Alan and Linda divide their time between Glen Rock, NJ, and Smith Mountain Lake, VA.
