he didn't have the chance to react or know what to say; Angela hadn't expected the words to fall out of his mouth, so soon, she took a couple of deep breaths and tried to register what had just been said; she wasn't given the time to even think of a response as the men outside pulled the doors open, and she was welcomed with the rush of the roaring crowds.

judgy looks, and the camera flashes around them. He hadn't cared one bit, and he wasn't afraid to show the world that he loved her. Warmth spread through her body just at the thought.

As she was pulled out of her thoughts, her eyes landed on David; he was rushing into the room with water and what looked to be a handful of pill bottles; one look at her, and he flinched as he rushed over to her.

He didn’t say a single word; he already knew that she was in pain. Slowly, he helped her down on the bed and placed the glass of water in her hand along with three different kinds of pills.

She took them and then finally looked over at him. He allowed his fingers to carefully run through her hair as he held onto her. He spoke to her in a gentle tone.

“Hey, how are you holding up?”

Angela offered him a kind smile as she spoke.

“I’m better now.”

She hadn't even gotten the chance to breathe when he moved forward and gently placed his lips upon hers; she closed her eyes right away and let herself drown within the feelings that spread through her body right away. She was taken aback by him. His lips felt soft as they moved along hers, and she noticed the way he was gripping onto her. She smiled between the kiss and finally took a breath when he pulled away. She noticed the way he was staring at her like she was made from glass. She raised an eyebrow as she spoke to him in a gentle and low tone.

“David? Is everything okay?”

He looked over at her with his eyes wide, and she knew that he was up to something. She began to push him more until he finally smiled at her and carefully handed her his phone. She looked over at him and spoke with anticipation rushing through her body.

"Come on, you know I don't like surprises; you're making me nervous now."

He raised his eyebrows and finally spoke.

“Do you trust me?”

She knew the answer to the question, and it spilled from her lips instantly.

“Of course, I do.”

He gestured towards the phone and spoke.

“Then go ahead check it out for yourself.”

She didn't know what to say; she decided that it was better to just check it out. She looked down at the screen as it turned on after she tapped on it, and before she knew it, she saw a news article staring back at her. Her eyes slowly went over the words that were displayed on the screen, and she kept reading over the headlines as she couldn't believe this had even happened. She could see images attached to the articles one after the other that were set next to each other.

There were pictures of Angela as she held hands with David outside the ball entrance, her eyes landed over the way their fingers were so intertwined with each other, and her cheeks began to glow in a light shade of pink. The headline was at the front of almost every tabloid and newspaper, and for the first time in a while, she couldn't believe that she was happy with all the attention she was getting. Her heartbeat began to move fast; she looked up at him, and she saw a huge smile spread across his face already as he spoke in a hushed tone.

“We made it.”

She noticed the way he slowly reached forward and grabbed her hand in his, and the same smile spread across her own face as he spoke again, but this time, her hand was held in his.

“Now the world knows.”

She looked back at him, and at the moment, she was certain that it was meant to be and there was no one else in the world she could ever want or need.
