I feel a little bit like a broken record when I say this, but I loved writing The Endgame so much! Anson and West have never failed to put a smile on my face! I have to thank Kate Hawthorne in some ways because it was something she said to me that inspired their story. I was in between books and couldn’t figure out what to write next. We were chatting and she said, “What would make you happy to write?” I don’t know what it was about that question that unlocked something inside of me. As an author, I always follow my muse, but it was as if she gave me permission to just…let go and see what happened. It was a couple days later that I decided I wanted to write a senator and a football player. The rest fell into place from there.
