First and foremost, I would like to thank my mom for instilling in me my love of food and teaching me the ins and outs of the kitchen. You taught me that through food, you can find common ground with anyone!
I would also like to thank my in-laws for welcoming me into their Cajun family with open arms and allowing me to be submerged in a culture that I have grown to love so deeply. I will forever call Louisiana my second home.
Lastly, I would like to thank my husband, Canean, without whom this book would not have been possible. Thank you for taking care of our newborn baby while I spent hours in the kitchen, thank you for washing dishes, thank you for telling me I could do this when I had moments of doubt, and thank you for loving me through it all!
