We have entered the information age, and education is more important than ever!
I have always believed and been passionate about connecting and building relationships. I have been blessed to work in multiple roles where I have interacted with many incredibly talented women and men. I was in corporate America working for a Fortune 500 company for 20+ years, was the National Executive Director for a women’s networking association for many years and have had the opportunity to work side-by-side with experts such as Brian Tracy, Mark Victor Hanson, John Gray, Bonnie Ross-Parker, Patricia Fripp and many more. I have learned about the power and motivation that we carry with us every day.
I am of the mindset that we should always be learning or, what Brian Tracy so eloquently calls, The law of continuous learning. And Napoleon Hill states, The mind serves best what is used most. In 12 years of corporate training, I have trained senior sales personnel to grow personally and professionally with daily education. In today’s ever-changing and fast-paced world, personal and professional development training is a requirement for anyone wanting to increase their earning potential. We are experiencing a paradigm shift in how, when and where we get our education. Colleges today have recognized the opportunity in offering online education. After a college graduates enter the workforce, time and money may not be available to attend training. With companies tightening budgets, many aren’t willing to invest in training. Therefore, we each have to ‘own’ our destiny and take time on a daily basis to continue stimulating our brains and help grow in our careers as well as in our personal lives.
Many top people shared that they learned from others in their fields and modeled what successful people have achieved to become experts. We all need to strive to achieve more prosperity, deepen our relationships and attain a higher level of success through education. We have entered the information age, and education is more important than ever! Ask yourself what your Entertainment vs. Education (EvE) ratio is. Did you know that if you spend 15 minutes a day educating and training yourself then in one month you would have eight hours of training and in one year you would have 12 days of training? People spend millions of dollars on books, CDs, DVDs, seminars, conferences, etc. We need to become part of a knowledge-based society.
I have had the privilege of being trained under many of the best in the industry. Unfortunately, downsizing has affected many talented individuals and they are not able to continue this training. We need to have this opportunity whether we are baby boomers or just graduating from college. It’s critical to our development.
In the end, I was introduced to a new personal and professional development concept in online training with world-class experts and now am able to learn from the best daily. This has resulted in a more positive environment for my career as well as my personal life.
