This unique headband keeps your ears warm with a ton of style! Interlocking bands create a beautiful twist that recalls the flapper era, framing the face elegantly and adding crafty flair to your winter look. Variegated yarn does all the work in this design, creating interesting color patterns with no extra effort on your part.
Fits a 22" (56 cm) head circumference. Adjustable by buttoning through different holes.

First Side
Rnd 1: Ch 32, dc in bottom loop of 13th ch from hook, dc in next 19 ch, ch 3, join with sl st to 1st ch.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 12 sc, 8 hdc, 4 dc (work each into one individual chain stitch), 2 dc in each of next 4 ch, 4 dc, 8 hdc, 12 sc (work each into one individual chain stitch), 3 sc in ch-3 sp, join with sl st in 1st sc—59 sts.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each 12 sc, hdc in each 8 hdc, dc in each 4 dc, [2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next st] twice, [1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st] twice, dc in each 4 dc, hdc in each 8 hdc, sc in each 12 sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc, join with sl st to 1st sc—66 sts.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in each 8 sc, hdc in next 8 sts, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 8 sts, hdc in next 8 sts, sc in next 8 sc, [2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc] 3 times, join with sl st to 1st sc—75 sts.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each 4 sc, hdc in next 8 sts, dc in next 12 sts, [2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts] twice, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, [dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st] twice, dc in next 12 sts, hdc in next 8 sts, sc in each 4 sc, [2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc] 3 times, join with sl st to 1st sc—84 sts. Fasten off.
Second Side
Rnd 1: Ch 32, insert end of chain through the loop of the first side, and being careful not to twist chain, work dc in bottom loop of 13th ch from hook, dc in next 19 ch, ch 3, join with sl st to 1st ch—both sides are now joined.
Rnds 2–5: Work same as first side.
Finishing
Weave in all ends.
Sew a button onto one side at the small end. The button can be buttoned through the buttonhole created by the ch-3 loop at the end of Round 1 or any of the spaces between double crochet sts of that round, for adjustability.
