Ingredients
- 1 cup dried soybeans (yellow or black)
- 4 tbsps soy sauce
- 2 tbsps sugar
- 2 tbsps of rice wine
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
Preparation
- Soak the dried beans for 6 hours. Drain.
- Put beans with 2 cups water in a pot and let come to a boil for 5 minutes, then skim the surface of any foam.
- Add soy, sugar, and rice wine and lightly boil for about 30 minutes, uncovered, allowing the beans to absorb the sauce.
- Add the corn syrup at the very end of cooking, and stir to coat. This can be served immediately or at room temperature, sprinkled with sesame seeds if desired.
