Preparation

  1. Bring salted water to a boil in a pot.  Remove tough core of cabbage, and separate cabbage into leaves.  Boil until white part of cabbage is tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Drain and shock in ice water to halt cooking.  Squeeze excess liquid out of cabbage leaves.
  3. Cut cabbage into 2-inch lengths and toss with remaining ingredients.  Let meld for at least 20 minutes before serving.
