Preparation

  1. Mix rice flour, sugar, salt, and water in a microwave-safe bowl.  Be sure to cover tightly with plastic wrap and microwave on for 3 minutes at high power.  Stir ingredients again, then microwave again for 1 minute.
  2. Put the hot dough into a mortar or other sturdy bowl and pound at least 50 times, about a minute or two, until the texture is chewy.
  3. Form into 8-10 cakes, roll in roasted soybean powder.  Add another sprinkle of sugar before serving, if you like.
