If you can’t quite decide what you’re in the mood for, these Monster Cookies have you covered. With peanut butter, oats, M&M’s, and chocolate chips, they’re a dream dessert for the indecisive baker … or when you’re looking to use up some leftover Halloween candy.
INGREDIENTS
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup light brown sugar, packed
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
¾ cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup quick-cooking oats
¾ cup M&M’s
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
⅓ cup chocolate candy sprinkles
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the egg, peanut butter, vanilla, and salt. Mix until well combined.
3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the butter mixture. Mix until combined, being careful to not overmix. Fold in the oats, M&M’s, chocolate chips, and chocolate candy sprinkles. Chill the dough for 30 minutes. Using a cookie scoop, shape the dough into 2-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Top with extra chocolate candy sprinkles.
4. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes.
5. Cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes; the cookies will firm slightly as they cool. Serve.
