DHARM KHALSA is on the board of trustees of the Siri Singh Sahib Corporation—the non-profit organization that oversees kundalini yoga in the United States after the passing of Yogi Bhajan in 2004—as well as 3HO Foundation and Unto Infinity. He has been teaching kundalini yoga since 1980 and was a close student and staff member of Yogi Bhajan. He is a second generation yoga teacher, having first learned Iyengar style yoga from his mother, Osa Skotting Maclane. He was born as Andrew Segal in Copenhagen, Denmark, to his visionary artist mother and leading mathematics professor father, Irving Segal. He grew up in Massachusetts and is a graduate of the University of Rochester with a BA in psychology. He became sevadar to Yogi Bhajan in 1982, adopting the spiritual name Dharm Khalsa, and serving and learning directly from Yogi Bhajan in Los Angeles for many years. He leads early morning meditations, has recorded four albums of mantra music, is a minister of the Sikh faith, and travels and teaches workshops primarily in the United States and Europe. He believes that when we live in our truth from the heart there is an awareness of love that flows like a current through all things. Recognizing that current of love provides the framework for a life of fulfillment, joy, and meaning. Dharm currently resides in the kundalini ashram community of Española, New Mexico, with his wife and two daughters. For more information about Dharm, his website is dharmji.com .
