Makes 20 to 24 balls
These little balls of energy are great as a snack by themselves—and they also pair wonderfully with coffee. Note: During the 21-Day Reboot, substitute hemp oil for coconut manna.
½ cup raw cacao powder
1 (5.5-ounce) bag or 1½ cups walnuts
½ cup hemp hearts
¼ cup coconut manna (coconut cream)
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Just Like Sugar, or to taste
Zest of 1 orange
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon ground cardamom
For coating: additional hemp hearts, cacao powder, or finely chopped walnuts
Combine all the ingredients, except the coating, in a food processor or mini food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth, or if you prefer, leave chunkier but processed enough to hold together when squeezed with fingers.
Form into balls and roll in additional hemp hearts, cacao powder, or ground walnuts.
Store in the fridge, or make a double batch and freeze half for later.
