MEAD SPRITZER

YIELD VARIES

Sometimes a batch of mead, wine or cider will turn out a bit too sweet or too dry for your liking. Don’t worry; all is not lost! You can use mixers to make your brew more palatable and transform them into bubbling cocktails.

IF YOUR BREW IS TOO SWEET

2 parts sweet brew

1 part soda water, mineral water or fruit-flavored, unsweetened soda

IF YOUR BREW IS TOO DRY

2 parts dry brew

1 part ginger ale or sweetened citrus soda

1. For brew that is too sweet, mix the correct ratio of sweet brew to soda water. Make it fancy by serving it on the rocks with a sprig of fresh herbs or edible flowers from the garden.

2. For brew that is too dry, a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down, right? Mix the correct ratio of dry brew to ginger ale to give your brew new life!
