- Before being cast in Harry Potter, Emma had featured in a number of plays at school and for a theatre company.
- These included Arthur: The Younger Years and The Happy Prince.
- Emma’s first non-Harry Potter role was in the BBC film Ballet Shoes, broadcast on boxing day in 2007 to an audience of almost 6 million.
- She has also leant her voice to an animated character - that of Princess Pea in The Tale of Despereaux. Harry Potter’s Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) also starred in the film.
