Here’s where you connect to wireless networks and turn WiFi on and off:
Wi-Fi. Move the slider to the right to turn off WiFi and to the left to turn it on. When it’s turned on, the button is green. If you’re out of range of a WiFi network and want to save power, turn WiFi off.
Wireless Networks. Lists WiFi networks in range as well as any WiFi networks to which you’ve connected in the past. It shows you the network to which you’re currently connected. (For more details about how to connect to WiFi, turn to Using and Troubleshooting WiFi.) Tap any network listed here, and you see more details about it, including whether you’re connected, whether it uses security and if so what type, signal strength, the speed at which you’re connected, and your NOOK Tablet’s IP address. If you want to disconnect from the network, tap Forget. That not only disconnects you, but also means the next time you’re in range of the network, your NOOK won’t connect to it automatically.
