Fork Bookend

This simple bookend is a great way to display your favorite cookbooks. I find it works best for a copy of Sweet Paul Eat & Make, like the one you’re reading right now.

You will need:

• Fork (I love to scour flea markets for old silver)
• Hammer
• Workbench or hammering surface—you can also use a vise

1. Place your fork on a work surface and hammer it until it is as flat as possible.

2. Bend the fork into an “L” shape. If you cannot do this by hand, you can put the fork in a vise and use the hammer.

3. Grab some cookbooks and you’re all set.
